Rattray Art Festival 2017
Open 14th and 15th October from 10am to 5pm each day
Rattray Art Festival returns this year as part of a wider festival called It's BRAW ! (Blairgowrie & Rattray Arts Week).
Venue - Rattray Hall, Balmoral Road, Rattray
On the Move', The 8th Rattray Art Festival has now grown and is part of the week long 'It's BRAW !' - Blairgowrie and Rattray Arts Week. The Rattray Art Festival, now more often known as the Rattfest by its friends, will now take place at the end of that week with an invitation Preview on 13th October and open to all on 14th and 15th October at the usual venue Rattray Balmoral Road Hall.
This year's invited feature artist is the very well known Scottish wildlife artist Colin Woolf who paints in oils and watercolours as well as very fine pencil sketches. He has even been known to paint with the pin feathers of a woodcock just to prove he could!
Other artists include last year's feature artist Janet McCrorie; with hardy perennial favourite Philip Raskin; Barbara Robertson with her amusing lino prints; Tina Gliddon and Anick Pitcher, two of this year's new organisers; Tricia Sutherland; newcomers Babs Pease and Hayley Mills; Rattray's very own bird artist Barry Macfarlane to name just a few of the exhibitors. The complete list and some of their art will be available on the website in September.
